The History of the Awards

Created to honour the achievements of every single rugby club in the country. The coaches, the players, the supporters. The dedicated, the committed, the enthusiastic. The National Rugby Awards recognises all those that contribute in so many ways to the great game of rugby in England.

The awards will give the opportunity for clubs at all levels to enter and gain recognition for their contribution to the game. We will be recognising clubs, players, coaches, volunteers, mini sections, supporters and many more people that make rugby the fabulous game it is.

There is no other event that brings together all the clubs and players from all the leagues in England, providing a great opportunity for sponsors to gain exposure to those at the very heart of English rugby.

The 2019 Awards ceremony will be held at Twickenham “The Home of English Rugby” and will be attended by rugby celebrities as well as members of England Rugby teams and Premiership players.

The event has been set up by Zeus Events with England player Chris Robshaw as the event ambassador.

This is a fantastic opportunity for all rugby clubs and business across the country to get involved in this fantastic night.

Event Ambassador Chris Robshaw

I am honoured to be a part of an event that recognises the, often unheralded, work and achievements of those involved in rugby around the country. When my business partners at Zeus Events, together with The Rugby Paper and Pitchero, brought the idea of a National Rugby Awards Dinner, celebrating rugby at all levels. I was truly excited and thought it was great idea and I jumped at the chance and the opportunity to be part of what promises to be one of the largest rugby club awards night in the world.

It is fantastic that the National Rugby Awards is now a permanent fixture in the rugby calendar and has now become the largest rugby club awards ceremony in the world.

“I wish the National Rugby Awards every Success and I thank it. For the part it played in creating such a special highlight in my life of Rugby”
