Applications invited from all English professional and amateur Clubs, large or small, who, have achieved major advances/improvements this year in respect of Results, Membership, Premises, Ground, Facilities, Management, Coaching, Players, Teams, Supporters – or any permutation of above.

MENS TEAM
OF THE YEAR

Nominations for a team within an amateur English club, that has excelled, is unbeaten, has reached a record number of victories, scored a record number of points, been promoted to a higher league in the RFU structure, raised vast sums for charity, or otherwise achieved fame!

MENS RUGBY
PLAYER OF THE YEAR

The best Club Player will be an outstanding English amateur who has hit top form and played brilliantly, led his team to league or cup victory, scored a vast number of tries / points, recovered from serious injury or in some other way, deserves recognition.

WOMENS TEAM
OF THE YEAR

Nominations for a Team within a professional or amateur English Club, that has excelled, is unbeaten, has reached a record number of victories, scored a record number of points, been promoted to a higher league in the RFU structure, raised vast sums for charity, or otherwise achieved fame !

WOMENS RUGBY
PLAYER OF THE YEAR

The best Club Player will be an outstanding English amateur who has hit top form and played brilliantly, led his team to league or cup victory, scored a vast number of tries / points, recovered from serious injury or in some other way, deserves recognition.

COACH
OF THE YEAR

Coach of the Year nominations apply across the English game at any level, Pro, Semi Pro or Amateur, and may include head coaches or specialist coaches. The winner will probably have been responsible for a series of Team promotions, an outstanding years performance or taken over and transformed a new side who were previously basement players.

CLUB SPONSOR
OF THE YEAR

Innovation and commitment rather than financial considerations to be key to nomination. Large or small organisations may be put forward where Clubs feel that their Sponsor has enthusiastically and effectively added value in addition to cash / equipment / Merchandise, at every level.

FACILITY DEVELOPMENT
OF THE YEAR

Nominations are encouraged for any English Club at whatever level who have successfully achieved a major development in the context of their Premises, Facilities, Membership, Status / Level.

REFEREE
OF THE YEAR

Referees are the heartbeat of the game and for many years have gone unnoticed, without these people the games would not happen. The National Rugby Awards are looking for a referee at any level of the English game that has shown an outstanding commitment and dedication over the year. The panel will choose a referee whom they feel should be honoured for their commitment and support over many years or has made one specific effort for which they should be commended.

CLUB VOLUNTEER
OF THE YEAR

The Club Volunteer of the Year Award for distinguished service honours an individual, male or female, who has given outstanding service to their club by contributing to the game in any or multiples of the following areas; playing, coaching, management, training, administration or work in the community. The volunteer of the year will be judged based on one effort or a long term commitment to the game or the community the game serves.

LIFETIME
ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

This award speaks for itself and encapsulates all branches of our sport including, Playing, Coaching, Administering, Managing or any combination of these skills. It is clearly aimed at nominees who have devoted a major portion of their lives to the sport and deserve recognition for their efforts. The focus to be on work and commitment, not necessarily success.

AWARD FOR
MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS

A club, associated individual or organisation has either supported the mental health and wellbeing of its players, members or stakeholders, or participated in a community project to provide that support, raising awareness of the challenges of mental health and remove any associated barriers to discussing a mental health issue within their environment.

The finalists will be shortlisted and judged based on the criteria of how the nominee was able to positively impact an existing mental health challenge, or make a contribution to a culture of removing stigmas and barriers to the subject of mental health and wellbeing.
